I was staying at a Hotel nearby and thought they had a nice looking menu. We are visiting from Canada and only know basic French. My parents-in-law asked our waiter which item was fish and he rudely pointed at the special on the board. They asked "how is the fish prepared and what comes with in?". The waiter stated that "the fish is placed in a frying pan and the vapors cook the fish... Do you want to see the kitchen?" Then he laughed and walked away. We were then ignored for the next 30 minutes and decided to pay the bill for our beverages and go to another restaurant nearby and had a fantastic meal. As our Hotel was nearby we kept seeing the same waiter glare at us it really left a negative memory for Paris.
